ASI has compiled a great deal of experience over the past 23 years in installing commercial windows systems.  We have the people, equipment, and background to make certain your installation is performed flawlessly.  Our customers look to ASI as a single source for window needs to eliminate the problems associated with multiple subcontractors.  When you use ASI, you don't have to worry about whether it was the window, the installer, the painter, or the waterproofer who didn't do his job.  With ASI, you have "one butt to kick" so the job gets done correctly and problems are solved expeditiously.

Project Management

Over the years, ASI has learned that it pays to spend the time up front to schedule all of the installation details rather than mop up problems after the project is delayed or installed improperly.  We coordinate all disciplines prior to arriving at the job site and schedule every activity.  A project manager is assigned to each of our installations so all materials, equipment, and labor are synchronized.  This extra attention to detail improves the quality of the installation and reduces the time for installation.  It is too difficult in this fast paced building climate to have to coordinate a window distributor, installation contractor, painter, and water proofing company as separate entities.  By taking all disciplines under one umbrella, ASI is capable of delivering a predictable level of quality with each installation.

Field Labor

All ASI carpenters are members of the Carpenters Union so we have the best of the best.  Each year they go through extensive product, application, and safety training as part of their regimen.  ASI continually accesses the Union to hire the best carpenters.  Although our field staff has a broad and varied background in all aspects of carpentry, they have been specifically trained in the proper installations of commercial windows.  You don't have to worry about having an inexperienced installer setting a window out of square or out of plumb with the ASI team.  These are the kinds of problems that can plague your job since leaks and poorly installed window units usually don't become noticeable until the owner has occupied the building.  ASI's carpenters have the background to avoid the typical window maladies by installing the windows correctly the first time.

ASI carpenters are skilled in all aspects of window installation.  We select only those people who have extensive experience and at least ten years of carpentry experience.  Every carpenter goes through extensive training on product installation prior to working on the job.

The picture to the right shows an installation of perimeter break metal and mullion covers with an engineered weep system.

ASI staffs each job with a job site Forman who has experience with installation and running a project.  It is his responsibility to maintain a quality check throughout the project

Equipment

ASI has invested in the proper tools and equipment to support our field carpenters in their work.  We have all of the saws, planers, joiners, scaffolding, lifts, and trucks to assure a quality installation with the least possible downtime and inefficiencies.

ASI carpenters will use a variety of field tools for installations.  This picture shows a carpenter accessing a window composite on an ASI lift.  If the job site has space to maneuver, we find lifts to be a quick and efficient means to access our work.  We will also work with the general contractor and other trades to share scaffolding for interior and exterior work.  Since every job is different, ASI looks at the individual demands of the project and works directly with the general contractors to devise a solution that is both economical and practical.

It is critical to have a window installer who has the experience to negotiate job site issues.  With all of the factors that can cause delays and increased costs on a project, an owner and general contractor cannot afford to train a subcontractor in the field.  ASI sees its role as one of a partner with our clients to work through the on site issues before we mobilize on the project.
